Here’s a poem inspired by one of the cards I used in last weekend’s tarot writing workshop:
the emptiness looms
long and dark, a shadow cast
by the setting sun
the night must always
yield at daybreak, but it seems
so long in coming

I love the image of hope, the promise of sunrise, in this card. At first glance, it is so sad and that is the interpretation so often given. But I like the promise of sunrise.
That’s one of the things I really like about this image – we don’t know if we’re looking at sunset or sunrise. And even if it is the sunset, sunrise is coming. Thanks for commenting! 🙂
